More Info on 8th Grade Day

Here are some details for this Saturday’s 8th Grade Day.

-AADE will be in room G83 ESB. Remember, you will be splitting the time with SME. We will establish now that your group will do their presentation/ activity first, before SME.

Please make sure you have plenty of materials for 8 stations and approximately 70 students.

-A more detailed schedule of the day:

9:00-9:30 am Registration

9:30-9:45 Welcome
9:45-10:15 Session 1
10:20-10:50 Session 2
10:55- 11:25 Session 3
11:30- 12:00 Session 4
12:00-12:30 Lunch- Pizza, cookies, drinks
12:35-1:05 Session 5
1:10-1:40 Session 6
1:45- 2:15 Session 7
2:20-2:50 Session 8
2:50-3 Closing Remarks

-Please arrive by 8:45 am to allow plenty of time for room set-up, But, it also should be fine if you arrive later, although don’t come if you can only do 2pm – 3pm, not really worth it

-Following WVU Policy, if Monongalia County School District cancels on Friday, then 8th Grade Day will be canceled on Saturday. If this happens, we hope to reschedule.

Please Hand-in AADE Forms by Monday Noon

Alright, so Dr. Bilgesu will mail the first batch of AADE forms to the main AADE chapter on Monday, so please have the forms ready.

You will submit them in MRB 347 (The Petroleum Office on the 3rd Floor of Mineral Resources Building).

If you have not gotten a form, AADE_Form

  • quality may not be the best, but it should work
  • Please bring the $10, too.

Side Note: this is not the deadline, but remember, you can’t go to any trips, conferences until you sign up as a member
