Field Trip to NNE (Northeast Natural Energy) in Morgantown, WV

WVU Student Section of AADE (American Association of Drilling Engineers) have done another event which was the field trip to NNE ( Northeast Natural Energy) on last Friday, September 11, 2015 in Morgantown, WV.

A piece information about NNE (Northeast Natural Energy).

  • NNE was founded in 2010 by Mike John, Mark Williams, John Adams and Jo Ellen Yeary. They all had previously worked together at Colombia Natural Resources and Triana Energy prior to forming NNE.
  • NNE drilled the first wells in 2011 at the MIP location just outside of Morgantown, WV.
  • NNE has drilled and operates 21 Marcellus Shale wells in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
  • NNE currently have 11 more wells drilled and waiting on Completion.
  • NNE is a Charleston West Virginia based company with decades of Appalachian Basin experience.

The students who joined this field trip gathered on last Friday at 9:00 pm in Mineral Resources Building. The students prepared their hard hat and steel toed shoes. Then, they got a short presentation from NNE representatives that explained about their company, drilling operation, what the students would do during the field trip. The following below show some pictures before and during the field trip. Unfortunately, due to the company regulation, the students could not take a picture inside drill site area.
